OK, what do we mean by licensing? We've received a lot of offers for this domain, from laughable to almost worth considering, and they never came through with the money. This domain represents a real estate investment in the world wide web, and it's in the best interests of our portfolio to monetize the best way possible. We're not going to pass on this great piece of real estate to some crazy kid with an idea that flames out after six months. You must be worthy.

We're taking a lesson from all those early rock stars that sold the rights to their music for a song (pun intended), only to find out the rights were worth much more later. We think the same logic can apply to domain names. We also looked at the cold hard truth that 80 percent of small businesses fail within the first 5 years, and 80 percent of those that made it will fail within 10 years.
